Whitesburg Swim Team News

Welcome! The 2010 Swim Team season is almost upon us! We would like to welcome our members and extend an invitation to all WRA youth to join the swim team!
Last year we had 55 swimmers on the team we would love to add 20 or more for this season.   Ask a friend or someone who has been on the team in the past.

Last year, we finished 2nd in Dual meets and City Meet and by virtue of our OUTSTANDING performance at that meet we will remain in the B League! We are very excited about the upcoming year. Please take time to look over this letter carefully as we don’t want you to miss out on this great opportunity for our children to be a part of a great team!

Coaches: Sarah Cruze.  This will be her first season as coach and manager.   Our three assistant coaches are returniing: Michael Ingerson, Carrie Daniel and Sara Henderson.

Swim Team Rep: Eileen Bogardus.. She will need a lot of help to run the swim season and wants to make it an easy and fun summer for everyone at WRA! She will need volunteers in the following areas:
Fundraising
Meet Workers
Concession (for Home Meets)
Family Fun Nights
Computer Work

We need a volunteer to help coordinate swim team ads from our team for the City Meet heat sheet ads.   This can really generate a lot of money for the team.  The last 2 years we have made over $700.   We get 50% of all ads monies.  They are returned to us after the city meet.  So please volunteer if this is something that you feel like you can help us with.

Please let them know by May 1 if you would be willing to help in one of these areas. They will be meeting with the coaches before the start of the year, so if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please call or e-mail  Eileen or Jenni.
